The raw material for the production of solid paraffin is slack wax, and solid paraffin is usually divided into the following types according to the amount of fat.

Heavy solid paraffin:

Solid paraffin 1 to 3% fat

Solid paraffin 3 to 5% fat

Solid paraffin 5 to 7% fat

The whiter and clearer the color of the paraffin, the higher the quality.

More than 90% of solid paraffins in the market are of heavy type, which can have different percentage of oil based on the order of our respected customers. Heavy solid paraffin is obtained by pressing steel plates on bagged slack waxes at a certain temperature. This type of paraffin is used in various industries such as candle making, matchmaking, paper, textile, etc.

This type of paraffin is made from light slack wax. Light paraffin is completely refined and is known as crystalline paraffin in the market. This type of paraffin has a hard and fragile structure and has good physical stability and does not change shape easily.

It is divided into different types based on the percentage of fat:

Light solid paraffin:

Solid paraffin 0.5 to 1% fat

Solid paraffin 1 to 3% fat

Solid paraffin 3 to 5% fat

Solid paraffin 5 to 7% fat

The three most important industries that use fully refined light paraffin are cosmetics and food industries. This type of paraffin is used in the candle making industry. The candles made from this type of paraffin are of the highest quality and price.

Liquid paraffin is a highly refined mineral oil that is widely used in cosmetics and medicine.

Liquid paraffin is less dangerous than gasoline and boils at a temperature of 150-275 degrees Celsius. It can be extracted from coal, wood, and oil shale, but it is mostly obtained from the distillation of crude oil.

There are two forms of liquid paraffin. Each of them has many applications in different fields and industries. A form of liquid paraffin is a highly refined type of kerosene used as fuel. Another type is highly refined mineral oil that has various uses, for example, it is used in the production of cosmetics and pharmaceuticals and agricultural industries.

Foots Oil

The materials that are left over from the production of solid paraffins and are the so-called oils and aromatics found in slack wax and are mostly available in net or bulk packaging.

Depending on the type of slack wax, it has a variable viscosity. Foots oil (30-40%) contains oil and a percentage of fatty acids, and it is a source of base oil and free fatty acids.

This product is found as a liquid or semi-solid at normal temperature, depending on the percentage of oil.

Fots oil is widely used in rubber, leather, plastic, candle and matchmaking and as a lubricant.
